Night 3 and 4: Kwara camp is situated on the edge of the permanent waters of the world renowned Okavango Delta in Botswana, and shares a common boundary with Moremi Game Reserve. Due to the specific location of the camp, Kwara is able to offer power boating, mokoro (dug out canoe) trips, walks and game drives – all year round. Kwara also offers fishing for 10 months of the year, (government regulations prohibit fishing in January and February) An added attraction for Kwara is that the camp is located in a large private concession enabling the game drives to operate both off road and at night.
The water experience, be it fishing, on a mekoro or exploring the channels and rivers by boat, is spectacular, giving you the true essence of the Delta. The game drives, operating both off road and at night in this vast and beautiful wilderness will give you the opportunity to see the beautiful and wild Botswana. The exclusive traverse is a feature of the Kwando Safaris experience – while Kwara camp adjoins the Moremi Game Reserve you only have to share your game experience with other Kwara guests. The best all year round Delta experience. Accommodation at Kwara is in traditional safari tented rooms, each raised on a teak deck with its own private veranda. A sliding door leads into the tent where the beds are placed with a view out over the floodplain or permanent lagoon. The en-suite facilities comprise of a flush toilet, double basins and an outdoor covered shower with hot and cold running water. You will fall asleep to the sounds of the Okavango Delta – hippos and painted reed frogs serenading you as you drift off into a peaceful sleep. After a morning activity and a leisurely breakfast on the day of departure from Kwara – you will board another light aircraft for your transfer to Lagoon
Night 5 and 6 : Set on the banks of an oxbow of the Kwando River, is Lagoon – the setting is both remote and beautiful. For many months of the year you’ll see elephant drinking from the water next to the camp and witness the huge herds of buffalo that keep close proximity to the Kwando River. Wild dogs, lion, cheetah, leopard and hyena are all never far away from their food sources. Over the years, many of our guests have been fortunate enough to see some of the incredible interactions between predator and prey - sometimes, even predator against predator. These are ancient struggles that very few people in the world are privileged to witness.
As we are in this vast private concession our game drives are allowed to operate both off road and at night. Many mammals are only active after dark; this gives an opportunity to see some of them using a spotlight operated by the tracker. In addition to the game drives we also offer walking safaris (seasonal) and evening boat cruises. You can watch the sunset from the comfort of the double deck boat as you head slowly along the winding Kwando River.
The rooms at Lagoon are quite something to behold. All rooms have beautiful views overlooking the river and the Mudumu National Park in Namibia on the opposite bank. Each has a private balcony on the banks of the river; the sliding door leads into a lounge area with large meshed windows looking out to the spectacular view. The raised bedroom area leads to a dressing area and a large bathroom, again with stunning river views. There is a free standing bathtub, inside shower, double basins, separate toilet and an outdoor shower. On the morning of departure from Lagoon, after a hearty brunch you will be transferred by light aircraft to Kasane Airport and then onwards by road to Elephant Camp in Victoria Falls.
Night 7 and 8: With just 12 luxury tents situated in a private game reserve, Elephant Camp has breath taking views of the Victoria Falls’ spray and the spectacular gorges which separate Zimbabwe and Zambia. This is a perfect base from which to explore Victoria Falls. All suites are gorge facing and boast a private viewing deck and plunge pool, private lounge area. The en-suite facilities consist of a bath (with a view) inside and outside showers, and flush toilet. There is also a mini bar and tea/coffee stations in each room. Activities included are of course a visit to Victoria Falls, a sundowner cruise, elephant & cheetah interaction (subject to availability).
After 2 glorious nights here – sadly your trip comes to an end when you are transferred to Victoria Falls airport for your onward journey.

Highlights
- · Tau Pan (Central Kalahari Game Reserve/CKGR)
- · Kwara (Okavango Delta)
- · Lagoon(kwando concession)
- · Elephant Camp (Victoria falls-Zimbabwe)
On arrival at Maun Airport, you will be met by a Going Africa representative who will introduce you to your pilot and show you to your light aircraft for a departure out of Maun.
Night 1 and 2: Tau Pan Camp is situated inside the world famous Central Kalahari Game Reserve (CKGR) right on the edge of the beautiful Tau Pan. After the summer rains (October – March) the CKGR completely transforms as the blue sky fills with huge clouds, and the plains and pans burst with sweet grasses. This is one of the best game viewing areas in Botswana at this time of year and not many people seem to be aware of this – so the visitors are few.
The CKGR gets animals such springbok, gemsbok and wildebeest in their thousands and is quite a sight to behold. Predators abound with plentiful Lions – especially the famous Kalahari black-maned Lion, Cheetah, Leopard and Jackals. Brown Hyenas and Wild Dogs are also found in the area. All of the 8 rooms have private viewing decks, inside and outside showers and fans. The main area has a swimming pool, curio shop and library – the views of wide open spaces are unbelievable and captivating. The activities on offer here are game drives, full day excursions and nature walks with the San trackers – an amazing interesting and fascinating activity. On your morning of departure after a game activity and breakfast – you will be transferred to the airstrip to continue on your journey by light aircraft on to Kwara
